Eiko Shoji is my family business and current professional home.

I joined in 2008 as New Brand Development and sales but am now running the Marketing Department.

Eiko was the first company to bring jeans to Japan is considered one of the leaders in denim fashion. Eiko has been in business for over 50 years, has over 200 employees and anywhere between 27-45 retail shops depending upon the brands and market demands. We also wholesale to all the top stores including Barney’s, Isetan,Tomorrowland, Estnation, Mitsukoshi, SHIPS, United Arrows etc…

Located in fashion leading Harajuku, Omotesando and Aoyama, Eiko has allowed me to add fashion and design to my resume. It was definitely hard putting my time in as a newbie especially when I had built up such a huge base in the car industry. However, everyone needs a phase of humbling and I got just that. I slaved to learn the industry for nearly two years before I knew what was going on. It was refreshing and very stressful at the same time. The experience stripped me of all of my comfortable connections, business habits, and narrow-minded perspectives. It reminded me that the world did not revolve around our car industry and that other industries all had similar dreams, challenges, and obstacles.

I feel privileged to have this chance and am now even more excited to take what I have learned here and apply it to my favorite hobby of cars, video and photos. Anyways, I am still on the new chapter of work in my life but it’s finally starting to take off.
